The exhibition features vehicles used in postal work – from an impressive 1914 Fiat Ter Lorry to more recent, environmentally friendly solutions.

Norway Post has played an important role in the development of transport and communications in Norway. New technologies have contributed to more efficient postal services, and the need for fast and reliable delivery has led the service to adopt new innovations at an early stage.

The collection includes Norway’s oldest drivable lorry, a 1914 Fiat Ter lorry, a 1932 Harley-Davidson 1200 cc motorcycle, a platform tractor used on railway platforms, and a 1955 Volvo Duett – a type of van widely used by the postal service in the 1950s and 60s.

You can also see the Swedish-made DAF 44, known as “Tjorven”, as well as more recent developments such as the Paxster electric vehicle and an electric hand trolley designed for use in towns and urban areas.

The exhibition in the Postal Garage offers an engaging experience for visitors of all ages with an interest in vehicles and history.
