At the Norwegian Post Museum, visitors are greeted by a Postmaster.
The postmaster is a knowledgeable guide with long postal experience. Post-pensioners share this job. Together, they represent a very long history, as long as the Post Offices history itself - approx. 375 years. The postmasters are rich in stories from their long lives in Norway Post, and they like to share these stories with others. If you like you can send a postcard from your holiday, post it and have it stamped with Maihaugen's own postmark. In the museum shop at Maihaugen you can buy stamps and postcards.
